CentreStage is delighted to announce that our Junior students, aged 5–8, will bring the heart-warming world of the Hundred Acre Wood to life in 2026 with Disney’s Winnie the Pooh Kids. This charming production forms part of our highly regarded 2026 education program and is open to all new and returning students, with no audition required.
To join the program, families can enrol now at www.centrestage.org.au/satcpaa.
A Perfect First Step Into Musical Theatre
Designed especially for younger performers, Winnie the Pooh Kids offers a gentle, imaginative, and joyful entry into the world of acting, singing, and movement. The production introduces children to storytelling, character exploration, teamwork, and stage confidence in a nurturing and playful environment.
The show itself is full of familiar faces and beloved music, giving students the chance to step into a story they already adore while developing foundational theatre skills.
David Greenwood, Managing Director of CentreStage, sees this production as an important early chapter in a child’s creative journey.
“Winnie the Pooh Kids is a beautiful, gentle way for our youngest performers to discover what it means to work together, build confidence, and share stories on stage. It celebrates curiosity and kindness, and those themes sit at the heart of what we want for every child who walks through our doors.”
He also highlights the value of making arts experiences accessible for families:
“Our Junior program is open to every child, regardless of background or previous experience. We want young people to feel welcome, safe, and supported as they try something new. This production captures that spirit perfectly.”
And on the broader educational impact:
“Some of our most confident young performers today began in our Junior troupes, learning through joy and play. This production will give children a strong foundation that can grow into a lifelong love of creativity, collaboration, and performance.”
