Meet the Creative Team of CentreStage's March 2024 Production of 'The Music Man'


When the curtains rise at Geelong Arts Centre in March 2024, audiences will be transported into the charming world of River City, Iowa, as CentreStage proudly presents "The Music Man."



Behind the scenes, a team of incredibly talented individuals is working diligently to bring this beloved musical to life. We are thrilled to introduce you to the creative geniuses who are the driving force behind this production.


Steering the ship of "The Music Man" are the dynamic duo of Michele Marcu and David Greenwood, who share a passion for storytelling through theatre.

David Greenwood, CentreStage's Managing Director, expressed his excitement for the production:

"This is a show close to my heart, and I can't wait to see our vision come to life on stage. 'The Music Man' is a timeless classic that will captivate audiences of all ages."

Michele Marcu, Co-Director and a seasoned theater veteran, added,

Choreography is a vital element of any musical, and for "The Music Man," Lochlan Erard is the choreographer extraordinaire. With a background in dance and a keen eye for movement, Lochlan is dedicated to ensuring that every dance number in the production is a showstopper.

The heart and soul of any musical is its music, and in "The Music Man," Gabriel Taburet serves as the Musical Director. Known for his exceptional talent in orchestrating music that tugs at the heartstrings, Gabriel brings the enchanting tunes of River City to life. Expect to be serenaded by the sweet sounds of the orchestra under his guidance.

The beauty of the spoken word and the power of song come together in perfect harmony under the guidance of Vocal Director Cate Dunstan. Her expertise in vocal coaching ensures that the cast delivers performances that are both captivating and emotionally resonant. When asked about her role, Cate said, "Working on 'The Music Man' is a true delight. The vocal talents of our cast are remarkable, and I'm thrilled to help them shine on stage."
