CentreStage is proud to announce the appointment of Martin Nguyen as Producer for its upcoming production of Frozen The Broadway Musical.

This appointment represents a deliberate and forward-thinking shift in leadership, with Managing Director David Greenwood OAM stepping away from the producer role to focus on broader strategic direction, organisational growth, and continued investment in artists and community outcomes across the region.
David Greenwood OAM shared:
“After many years producing our major works, this felt like the right moment to hand the baton to someone I trust deeply. Martin is not only a dear friend, but an exceptionally accomplished creative and leader. He brings a level of integrity, vision, and calm authority that this production deserves.”
He continued:
“I’ve worked closely with Martin and seen firsthand his ability to lead teams, honour story, and elevate those around him. He understands that great productions are built on strong cultures, clear communication, and a shared sense of purpose. Frozen is a significant work for our community, and I have complete confidence that under his leadership, it will be something truly special.”
David also emphasised the importance of leadership transition within the arts sector:“As an organisation, we have a responsibility to create pathways for others to step into leadership. This is not about stepping back, it’s about stepping forward in a different way and ensuring the longevity and strength of CentreStage for years to come.
A PRODUCER WITH VISION AND PURPOSE
Martin Nguyen brings extensive experience across performance, production, and creative leadership. Known for his collaborative approach and strong artistic instincts, Martin has built a reputation for creating environments where artists feel supported, challenged, and empowered to deliver their best work.
His appointment signals a continued commitment to excellence, while also reinforcing CentreStage’s focus on inclusive, values-driven leadership.
Martin Nguyen shared:
“This production is about more than spectacle. It’s about connection, courage, and creating a space where artists feel supported to do their best work. I want to build a process that is collaborative, respectful, and ambitious, so that what we present on stage genuinely resonates with our community.”
He continued:
“Frozen is a story that speaks to identity, belonging, and self-acceptance. Under my leadership, the focus will be on authenticity in storytelling and ensuring that every performer, creative, and crew member feels valued throughout the process.”
Martin also highlighted the broader impact of the work:
“CentreStage has a powerful reputation for developing talent and creating real pathways into the industry. This production is an opportunity to continue that legacy while also raising the bar in terms of professionalism, creativity, and audience experience."
