Do you hear the people sing?
We're proudly Geelong — that's our secret to creating consistently strong theatre. Our aim is to create inspiring projects that foster new talent and develop existing skills within our teams.
CentreStage is driven by a desire to provide access to the arts, through musical theatre, to as many people in our community as possible. We support the inclusion of all people and offer opportunities to community groups to access the arts.

Creating consistently strong theatre through the Geelong region.
"Do you hear the people sing?" We live and breathe our values every day. That's how we create consistently strong and inclusive theatre.
Welcome to CentreStage, Australia's premier theatre and education provider. Since our inception in 2010, we have been dedicated to fostering the performing arts while maintaining a strong sense of community involvement. What started as a small idea with big dreams has now grown into one of the largest theatre and education providers in the country.
We pride ourselves on our commitment to inclusivity and diversity. We are owned and managed by a person with a disability and the LGBTQIA+ community, and our management team includes individuals who identify as First Nations and represent various minority groups. We believe that everyone should have access to the performing arts and strive to make our productions and classes as inclusive as possible.
To date, we have produced over 70 shows, including such standouts as We Will Rock You, The Sound of Music, Les Miserables, Puffs, and Singin' In The Rain. Our productions have been enjoyed by audiences of all ages and have received critical acclaim.
At CentreStage we continue to celebrate the stories that educate, entertain and inspire us; just as the Wadawurrung people have done for thousands of years.

CentreStage has always recognised the importance of an educational platform that caters to both the local Geelong and broader Australian theatre markets. Our mission is to provide outstanding and measurable learning outcomes, developed by some of Geelong's most respected educators and performers.
Our Performing Arts Academy is designed to meet the needs of young people aged 4 to 18, offering a comprehensive programme that enhances not only performance skills but also theatre etiquette, practical skills like costumes and makeup, and the opportunity to work alongside some of Australia's leading theatre professionals.
As Geelong's largest theatre tuition programme, we are proud to operate with DET and DHHS-approved guidelines. Parents can have peace of mind knowing that their children are being taught by registered staff, including VIT-accredited teachers and industry professionals.
As a CPAA member, you'll learn new skills and develop a performance portfolio, participate in a variety of musical theatre performances, and build a strong network of theatre friends and professionals.

It's always okay to ask for help.
As a company, we are only as good as our people. Our volunteers, students, performers and staff are all valuable members of our community — and part of that is recognising the importance of our people's health and wellbeing.
Through a revised cultural framework, we made a pledge to work tirelessly to identify, support and accommodate the needs of our theatre community from a health perspective. To achieve this, we have partnered with Beyond Blue and the Arts Wellbeing Collective.
Performing can be a physically exhausting and emotionally draining job, and you're only human. For more information, please contact our Health and Wellbeing Manager, Marnie Parkinson.
If you or someone you know is at immediate risk, call 000.
